About Our Programming

Join Nature Niños for free, family-friendly community hikes on public lands and local trails! These guided outings are a fun way to explore nature together, learn about local ecosystems, and connect with other outdoor-loving families. All ages welcome—no experience necessary!

Our summer programs offer unforgettable outdoor adventures for youth of all ages! From day camps in Albuquerque for younger kids to overnight camps at Fenton Lake for older youth, campers explore, play, and learn in nature. Activities include fishing, hiking, nature crafts, wildlife tracking, and campfire fun.

Nature Niños partners with schools across New Mexico to deliver hands-on outdoor education for middle and high school students. Our programs take place on public lands, school campuses, and local greenspaces, fostering leadership, teamwork, environmental stewardship, and a lasting connection to nature.

Tiny Trees is our early childhood outdoor program designed for ages 4-8. Held entirely outside, Tiny Trees encourages nature play, exploration, and discovery while building social-emotional skills, curiosity, and a love for the natural world.

Investigating the Outdoors is our adventure-based program for youth ages 9 and up, focused on exploration, conservation, and outdoor skills. Participants learn the basics of archery, fishing, hiking, and wilderness safety, all while discovering the importance of caring for our public lands. ITO fosters a deeper connection to nature through hands-on activities that inspire curiosity, confidence, and stewardship.
